Here is my view on Donald Trump,
Good things about Trump
1 - Donald Trump is a marketing genius, he loves controversy, he has a perfect formula/strategy figured out (probably has a working machine including the attorneys and helpers that would file a lawsuit right away) to leverage any controversy and make something for himself, create value for his brand and make money
2 - Donald Trump is a very smart business man, he knows how to make money through marketing, he knows how to come across, he knows how to appeal to the animalistic senses of people, he knows how to get attention and sell his product
3- Would I invest in Donald trump's company, probably because he will leverage news, he will leverage a controversy that is going on and will figure out a way to spread the message about his product and make money with zero marketing $$$, the unfortunate thing is people like Rosie O Donnell, Megan Kelly are his preys
4 - It is all about MARKETING, MARKETING, MARKETING for Donald Trump and he is a smart entrepreneur as well, because he is consistently hitting at least 2 mangoes in one stone, if not more, even if the whole President thing goes down the drain for him, he will use that to increase the value of his TRUMP brand, he is going to mention in every marketing material that goes out - GOP Presidential Nominee 2016 - he is going to sell that prestige along with his product
5 - What he is selling is real estate, it is not some fancy product, of course the homes he is selling are fancy, but real estate is not rocket science, but marketing real estate at a fraction of the cost, with no money is ingenuity and that is what he is doing, similar to Nike, Real Estate is commodity, but with TRUMP brand and some embellishment to the product itself and with the market he is targeting he is selling that at a much higher premium, if you look at Nike, Shoe is a commodity, but with all the athletes endorsing, Nike is able to sell the shoes at a much higher premium
6 - The good thing is he doesn't give a damn for anybody, he does what he thinks is correct, he is bold and he has leadership, I think he should have that for a 60 year old guy, who claims he is billionaire he should at least have that
Bad Things about Trump
1 - Trump is too parochial, narrow minded, he forgets the main reason America is in this position in the whole world because of the immigrants, he doesn't represent the whole America, where as Obama is a true American, he has everything in him, White, Black, Immigrant, Hard Working, Harvard etc. Trump cannot be even compared to Obama
2 - Marketers are very good at magnifying the reality much more than what it is, so they have all along done this and this guy has done this for the last 30, 40 years, so suddenly he is not going to change and start talking the truth and only truth, embellishing is in their blood and you cannot take that way from him, so all the things he is saying is only 60 to 70% true
3 - I am sure there is a major issue in his tax returns, that is why he is not releasing his tax returns, so he is really not as rich as he claims
4 - Trump comes across as immature for being such an old American and he personally attacks people on their qualities when he doesn't have a good answer or when he is caught red handed or when he is not able to defend his position, the worst part is that works for him, when he makes fun of Rosie O Donnel or Megan Kelly the press takes that and spreads that and it is helping Trump because it is spreading his Trump name again, he completely runs with "no press is bad" philosophy
5 - And the number of marriages and the bankruptcies, I would recommend anybody to look up to Obama and be like him and I often do that myself as well, but I cannot look up to Trump nor recommend anybody to lookup to Trump, in other words he is not a good role model, I wouldn't want my children to learn from him or aspire to become like him
6 - Trump's weapon is lawsuit, he scares people with his lawsuit strategy that is not going to work when he goes on a negotiation mission with Putin or the anybody else in the world, especially the Middle East, middle east is a mess, with such a narrow minded immature attitude he is going to make it even an uglier mess
7 - Again his strength is Marketing, I doubt if he is good at being an administrator, had he been good or had he had people that were good he wouldn't have had this many bankruptcies or may be they are well strategized, planned bankruptcies
Based on the reasons above, I don't think he is fit to be a President, however he is a genius marketer and a smart businessman.
