Question answered in Quora - Why do people like Tesla cars?

I love Tesla, I truly think it is an engineering marvel that Elon Musk has created. I was actually in a sales meeting with a CIO and a VP of Operations pitching our product, at that time his point was hey you guys are not doing something that is ground breaking, he said you got to make something like Tesla or Google Glass and he challenged me to test drive the Tesla and also he asked me to test drive the Google Glass. So I went ahead and set up an appointment with the nearest Tesla dealership and test drove one. The experience was amazing, to get the same amazing experience follow the steps below

1-Take the car to a road where there is no traffic, get a mile if you can without traffic

2-Press the accelerator as much as you can

3-The car will literally take off like a plane, you will feel as if you are taking off and starting to fly in a small plane, I did not expect so much power from that electric car, I thought it was going to drive like a Prius, I am used to driving a stick shift, I have owned and driven two BMWs for a long time, the first one is a 1993 325i (4 years) and the second one is 2001 330i (8 years), both are stick shift and have a Civic SI currently, the manuals are so much fun and it gives so much control and they pick up very fast, but this Tesla beat even those manual transmissions in terms of pick up.

After you feel that, you will for sure appreciate this car.
